The Bairnsdale and District Model Aero Club is gearing up for a huge Mid May Muster on May 24-25 at its Goon Nure base.
The club promises an action-packed weekend with pilots from throughout Victorian and New South Wales expected to flock to the venue with their remote control planes to enjoy an event which is dedicated to fun.
“This event is one our biggest for the year and attracts aero modellers from across the country,” contest director Tony Wilson said.
“We are looking forward to big turnout of magnificent models.”
Prestigious pilot’s choice awards will be up for grabs, while the raffle prizes are always a feature of the clubs meets.
Pilots must be MAAA registered but they can enter as many models as they wish.
Catering will be provided at the airfield at reasonable prices on Saturday and Sunday, while hot and cold food and drinks will be available to purchase at reasonable prices.
Spectators are most welcome to attend and see a broad variety of model aircraft in action. All that is asked is patrons make a gold coin donation upon entry to the event.
The club’s magnificent airfield is located at 1125 Bengworden Road, Goon Nure.
