Lakes Entrance remains unbeaten in both the under 13 and 15 East Gippsland Junior Football Association competition after impressive victories over arch rival, Orbost Snowy Rovers last Sunday at the Lakeside Oval.
In the under 13s both sides went in full of confidence having banked maximum points in the opening two rounds.
But it was the Seagulls who came out to play, kicking three unanswered goals in both opening terms as the young Blues gave their all but were continuously denied an illusive goal by the miserly Seagulls defenders.
Lakes Entrance led by 37 points at half time, with the second half a more even contest with both sides kicking two goals each, the Seagulls home by five goals.
Keanu Brown, Jack Hayllar, John Sowden, Jacob Spiker, Patrick McGinty and Makayla Sowden were among the better players for the Seagulls.
Lakes Entrance sits second on the ladder behind perennial premiership contender, Wy Yung.
The Seagulls remain on top of the ladder in the under 15s after another emphatic win, this time easily eclipsing the Blues by 50 points.
The impressive young Seagulls kicked 11 unanswered majors in a first half onslaught, which left the young Blues defenders helpless with the midfield ball movement precise and constant.
Billy Warfe (five goals) and Kye Piper (four) capitalised on the total dominance, finishing the outstanding team work close to goal.
Cooper Linn, Isaac Zagami, Mitch Ware and Lachlan Ymer all kicked two goals, with the best players being Archer Connally, Zagami, Jeremy Rotheram, Thomas Robertson, Ayden Martin and Jacob Silver.
