Three local hotels, the Waterwheel Tavern, the Kalimna Hotel and the Central Hotel all promoted prostate cancer awareness by distributing business card sized reminders to their patrons on the weekend of April 12 and 13.
“A simple reminder to take responsibility for your health by having a simple blood test may be the reminder that saves a life,” Lakes Entrance Prostate Cancer Support Group’s co-chairs Moss Mahony, Gary Power and Rob Petchell said.
They acknowledged the three local watering holes for their enthusiastic endorsement of this important men’s health messaging initiative.
“A simple reminder to men to speak to their doctors about getting their PSA checked could be life saving”, the co-chairs said.
