It was a huge weekend for the East Gippsland Zone (EGZ) of Pony Clubs, hosting several programs at the Toongabbie
Pony Club.
The 2025 EGZ State Clinic was well attended and an outstanding weekend, with plenty of topics covered and discussed.
These included gear checkers accreditation, coaching workshop and assessments, intro to course building, and a sports integrity sessions.
Presenters for the weekend included Bev Milner, Tracey Ryan, Darcy Wade, Sue Spurway and Sueann Waugh.
Several coaches completed their preliminary and level one coaching accreditation.
The assessments were made possible by the efforts of some outstanding demo riders, while EGZ organisers were delighted by the the Toongabbie Pony Club attention to detail in accomodating everyone.
The weekend also doubled as the second weekend of the 2025 Young Ambassador Program, where the youngsters were treated to fabulous instruction from Adam Wooten, with some completing their gear check accreditation, while others participated in the introduction to course building course.
They all got crafty in preparation for the State Horse Trials that EGZ is hosting, while a great kids versus parents activity night was a winner.
The weekend was rounded off with work on their community project, goal setting, weed identification, feed and the difference in the weight of feed in different scoops and the required ratio.
The youngsters taking home plenty of ideas and knowledge.
