Make-A-Wish Australia’s East Gippsland Volunteer Branch recently welcomed a generous donation to Make-A-Wish Australia, from a local builder who has been contributing to the well-being of local communities for more than 12 years, by providing new homeowners the opportunity to support causes they care about.

Through its Community Growth Program, GJ Gardner Homes East Gippsland has helped bring hope and joy to children with critical illnesses with a donation of $738. This contribution was made possible thanks to the generosity of local couple, Jacinta and Brayan, who chose GJ Gardner Homes to build their new home in East Gippsland and nominated Make-A-Wish as their chosen charity.

“It is an honour to volunteer with Make-A-Wish Australia, knowing our efforts help make the wishes of sick kids come true,” Make-A-Wish East Gippsland Branch president, Dave Williams, said.

“We sincerely appreciate GJ Gardner Homes East Gippsland for its generous donation through its Community Growth Program, this contribution will help make more wishes a reality.

“A heartfelt thank you also to Jacinta and Brayan for building with GJ Gardner and choosing Make-A-Wish Australia as the recipient of their donation. Their kindness and thoughtfulness will contribute to bringing happiness, strength, and hope to children facing serious illnesses.”

GJ Gardner Homes’ Community Growth Program is dedicated to giving back to the local community, supporting causes that bring positive change. Their continued support of organisations like Make-A-Wish highlights their commitment to making a difference beyond just building homes.

Manager of GJ Gardner Homes East Gippsland, Michael Ellett, is proud to be part of the community-focused program.

“Our Community Growth Program gives every customer the opportunity to nominate a local non-profit or charity to receive a donation during their build with us. The hardest part our new home clients find is deciding which of the many wonderful groups to select,” he said.

“Our initiative has been ongoing for 12 years with over $80,000 in donations now given to various charities. It’s a wonderful program that we’re proud to be part of, because when locals support locals, our whole community grows.”

“Thank you again to Jacinta and Brayan for choosing Make-A-Wish Australia as their donation recipient. With every dollar Make-A-Wish receives helping to make the wishes of kids across Australia come true, we encourage others who build with GJ Gardner Homes to also nominate Make-A-Wish Australia as their chosen recipient,” Dave said.
