Mange Control Inc is holding a vase arrangement workshop to help raise funds for a project to rid wombats of the debilitating and deadly mange disease this weekend.
The fundraiser will go towards the costs of the medicine and applicators that are used on wombat burrows to kill the eggs and clear the mange from the animals.
Last year a small group of locals successfully did 187 burrows in the area.
The vase arrangement day will be held at the Slipway this Saturday, from 10am to noon and will be a guided lesson from Hailey, Fernglen Farms, and Holly a qualified florist.
Light refreshments will be provided and you get to take home your creations, plus plenty of extra fresh flowers.
Also on display will be Mange Control Inc demonstrations and information, wombat medicine applicator creation, raffles, merchandise and kids activities.
