Football and netball training has resumed for the Lakes Entrance Football Netball Club, with numbers so far impressive.
The footballers are training on a Monday and Wednesday night at the Lakes Entrance Recreation Reserve under the watchful eye of new senior coach Darren Martin, assistant coach Ben Rotheram, reserves coach Steve Cole and thirds coach Jordan Cullen.
The coaching panel is hoping all players that intend to play seniors, reserves and thirds football in 2025 will hit the track sooner rather than later.
The netballers are training on Tuesday and Thursday nights, with pre season and trials being held this week and next.
The under 13, 15 and 17s are training between 4.45-5.45pm, with senior training starting at 5.45pm and going through to 6.45pm.
Training is under the watchful eye of Abbey Yates and Kylie Curnow, who are excited to be taking on the co-coaching role of the “A” grade side, with Sheree Eiseman taking charge of “C” grade and Gabi Wright “D” grade.
Tommi Carroll and Sam East will be in charge of the under 17 team, while Ciara Lawson and Brodie Maddern have the job of educating the stars of tomorrow in the under 15s.
The Seagulls will hold a pre-season training camp for both footballers and netballers between February 14-16 at Coonwarra Farm Resort at Glenaladale.
It’s hoped the camp will bring players and families of the football and netball club together and build upon the successful camp held early last year.
The camp will be a combination of fitness and skill training, team building activities and recreational activities to allow all attendees to enjoy the event and start the year on the right foot.
