Junior golf clinics will return to the Lakes Entrance Golf Club from Thursday, February 6, and continue each week from that date.
The club has run a successful junior program for several years and this year’s sessions will run between 4-5pm.
They will be under the watchful eye of PGA golf professional Wayne Thomas, who is highly regarded as a teacher of young and old players throughout the region.
In club golf this week, Bette Severs had a day out last Wednesday winning the medley stableford, with a sensational 44 points.
Hunter Douglass was successful in “A” grade and the consistent Apola Well took “B” Grade.
Saturday’s men’s event attracted 98 players with “B” grade player Neil Howell the overall winner with 41 points.
Dean Grining was victorious in “A” grade on countback, with club captain Ashley Chester winning “C” grade and Allan Lawson taking out “D” grade.
The women’s event saw Melesia Johnson successful in “A” grade with 32 points, with Lyn Bennett taking out “B” grade.
The course continues to be in magnificent order, with the club working hard in preparation for the Victorian Veterans 4BBB Stroke Championships that will be played on March 17-18 at the course.
