Local classical ballet dancer, Elizabeth Gray, from the Jan Pianta School of Dance (JPSD) recently travelled to Melbourne to audition for the State Youth Ballet Company, aiming to secure a role in their 2025 production of Hansel and Gretel.
Elizabeth was thrilled to receive notification of her successful selection, marking her as the fourth JPSD dancer to achieve this honour in four years.
Since joining JPSD in February 2024, Elizabeth has excelled under the guidance of Jan and her team, mastering a different classical ballet method while honing her technical skills.
These refined abilities played a pivotal role in Elizabeth’s selection, as the State Youth Ballet Company is known for choosing only the most talented and polished recreational dancers.
