Dining out on the government

A move by the State Gov-ernment to make dinning and entertainment more affordable has received mixed reviews from eateries in Lakes Entrance.
The government's dining and entertainment program - Eat, Play, Cash Back is designed to help Victorians save money on restau-rant meals, lives gigs and museum visits over spring and summer, while supporting hardworking businesses.
The program, which has been in effect since last week, allows cus-tomers to claim 25 per cent cash back when they spend $40 or more on a meal or entertainment.
Eligible purchases include meals at restaurants, cafes and pubs; tickets to live music or art performances; and entry into museums, galleries and amusement parks.
