Inclement weather decreased the numbers in last Saturday’s edition of the Lakes Entrance parkrun with only the dedicated and determined tackling the five kilometre course.
Just 26 participants took to the out and back course for the weekly walk, jog or run.
Regular winner Jet Knur led the field home in 19 minutes and 46 seconds, finishing ahead of Paul Etheridge (21.49) and Ashly Knur (22.21), who recorded a personal best time.
The first female home was veteran Kaye Hallam in a very respectable 29 minutes and 30 seconds given she is in the 75-79 year old age bracket.
The event attracted five new athletes with two personal bests recorded and four running groups represented.
Elizabeth Trapnell reached a significant milestone of 50 parkruns.
Represented were Lakes and District Runners, Southern Peninsula Sports Club, Everlasting Fitness Group and Nobby’s Nutcases.
The event takes place at Lakes Entrance Rotunda, Memorial Park from 8am every Saturday morning.
