Lakes Entrance continued its fairytale start to the Gippsland Bowls Region midweek pennant season with another victory, this time over Paynesville, last week at home.
Michael Bratt, Eric Spence, Wallace Mason and Kevin Brown led the way, 29-17 victors, with Maurice Carroll, Margaret Brandhoj, Bill Rowley and Joanne Martin just as impressive winning 22-18.
Mike McKay, Jim Northe, Jenny and Kevin Dowie worked hard to secure a draw on their end.
In division two Lakes Entrance 2 remain unbeaten, last week accounting for Bairnsdale at home by 18 shots, 72-54.
Stan Short, Hayden Lancaster, Ruth and Boyd McPhee were huge winners, 33-10, well supported by David Irwin, Jacinta Wilson, Peter Howie and Mark Campbell, victors 20-14.
Lakes Entrance 3 found the trip to Metung a task just a little too big, going down by 10 shots to the home side, 66-56, despite the efforts of Angelo Alonso, Christine Piatek, Faye Canizzaro and David Butterworth who prevailed 26-9.
In division three, Lakes Entrance 4 remains unbeaten after picking up a forfeit after Bruthen which was were unable to supply a team.
Lakes Entrance 5 went down to Paynesville by 11 shots, 44-33.
