Three good mates have come together to service Lakes Entrance and surrounding areas.
Locals Sam Nickless, Jeff Van Den Oever and Jack Reggardo have this week launched Lakes Hire, a machinery hire business offering a range of access, earthmoving, concreting, landscaping, gardening and construction machinery and equipment.
The three men are well-known both in work and community circles, all of them having played a significant amount of football with Lakes Entrance Football Netball Club.
Sam, Jeff and Jack are all partners/directors of the business and are all long-time family friends that have grown up and still reside around Lakes Entrance.
Sam will be the front man and store manager. He comes from a background of civil and mining industries but most recently spent
five years working as a police officer in Bairnsdale.
Sam saw the opportunity to supply a service that Lakes was in need for and got the support and knowledge from Jeff and Jack to help get it off the ground.
Jeff, who is trade qualified plumber and gas fitter with extensive experience with the water/civil industries, will continue to fulfil his role as an operations manager in the utilities space and support Lakes Hire as a company director.
Qualified builder Jack is already a successful business owner with RegCon. He adds great value with his self-motivation, industry knowledge and management skills. Jack will play a similar roll as Jeff in fulfilling his daily building priorities but being a liaison for Lakes Hire within his industry.
Located in the heart of town, behind the Central Hotel, Petstock and the post office at 10/12 Barkes Avenue, the Lakes Hire team and their families are eager to support the business community by filling a need.
Lakes Hire is open Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm, and 8am to 11am on Saturdays.
