Lakes Entrance lady Sophie Harvey, of The Essential Way, has been announced as the winner of the Wellness Services Category at the 2024 AusMumpreneur Awards at a glamorous gala dinner in Melbourne.

The AusMumpreneur Awards celebrate and recognise Aussie mums in business achieving outstanding success in areas such as business excellence, product development, customer service and digital innovation. The awards are designed to recognise the growing number of women who successfully balance motherhood and business in a way that suits their life and family.

Sophie was thrilled to be recognised in this category, saying “We have worked tirelessly to stay true to our all-natural philosophy while growing our business”.

“What began as a market stall in Lakes Entrance has evolved into a regional business supplying high-end day spas, boutique salons and retail stores. Our most recent achievement is becoming an official supplier to Quest Apartment Hotels, we have been working on a bespoke project that will be released later on in the year,” Sophie said.

“As the names were being called for third and second place I couldn’t help but feel ‘this is it’. But we didn’t just win first place in Wellness Services, we also took home the bronze trophy for the People’s Choice in Business.

“I am incredibly humbled and proud, knowing our community rallied around and voted for us. It is a moment I’ll never forget. A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to vote for me.”

It is sometimes challenging to be a successful businesswoman while raising a family but it is also incredibly rewarding and Sophie Harvey explained why as she is deeply passionate about her work and offers this advice for aspiring entrepreneurs.

“The Essential Way began with a desire to create a toxin-free environment for my family. What started as a hobby, became a way to earn some pocket money and then evolved into a full-fledged business. It wasn’t an overnight success, it required patience, resilience and plenty of creative thinking. But my motivation comes from doing something I love, for people I love, and that keeps me going.”

Now that Sophie has been named the 2024 Wellness Services winner and also secured a bronze trophy with the help of her community, her next goal is to create local jobs and collaborate with local businesses.

“My next goal is to grow my team and product range to give us regional people more choice and opportunities. You can find us aonline and take advantage of our locals special offer. Use Code: LOCALS15 for 15 per cent off your next purchase,” Sophie said.
