There was the AFL Grand Final last Saturday, but last Friday night at the Lake Tyers Beach Tavern it was the grand finale of the Let’s Light Up LTB for Christmas Friday night raffles which took centre stage.
“There were fantastic prizes donated from local businesses and with more than 25 prizes it was a mega night of fun,” chairperson of the Let’s Light Up LTB committee Avis Salisbury said.
“The community came out in force to support the fundraising event and was not disappointed by the prizes to be won. They also got to see some more examples of the Christmas panels that will go on display over the festive season and more solar powered lanterns adorning the tavern.”
One of the winners of the raffle also won on the tavern’s wheel and gave patrons a half hour of $5 schooners making himself popular.
