The Lions Club of Gippsland Lakes Lionesses Community Expo was thrilled at the response to their Community Expo on Sunday with a large crowd attending.
There were 48 organisations involved in encouraging and informing the community as to what clubs, groups and services are available to join. They showed that community engagement is a fun and fulfilling way to be part of the area.
“It was such a wonderful day, we would like to thank all participants in the Community Expo,” Lioness Marilyn Verone said.
“The weather was great and well over 400 people attended, not including the actual participants. From feedback so far, the event was very successful.
“We would sincerely like to thank REG FM for continually advertising Lakes Entrance Lions Club, Men’s Shed, Lakes Entrance Fire Brigade and volunteer helpers in the kitchen for their assistance. A special thank you to LEADA for their sponsorship and Darren Chester and Tim Bull who also promoted the event tirelessly,” Marilyn said.
