Broadlands View is an independent, locally-owned and operated retirement style living development established in 2005.

The first site tenants arrived at Broadlands View in 2017.

There are currently 55 homes built and occupied, with another 70 homes to be built.

“Broadlands View offers high quality, affordable housing in a secured land lease village,” director Andrea Savage said.

“We specialise in building brand new homes with our quality experienced local builders and trades. Community facilities including a recently completed community recreation centre with a heated indoor pool, gym, lounge, bar and kitchen provide spaces for site tenants to connect.

“Our community workshop provides a space where residents can be creative and productive in their senior years.

“We offer a secured environment, set in professionally landscaped grounds, with on-site management and the security of a 40-year lease. Our residents enjoy rent assistance without means testing, with the security of a 40-year lease.”

Broadlands View homes are constructed with high quality materials, expertly built by experienced local trades.

“We want our residents to feel secure and enjoy the healthy spaces we have created for their enjoyment,” Andrea said.

“Residents see their directors every day and know they are not a number in a village owned and run by a remote corporation.”

Broadlands View continues to contribute many millions of dollars into the local economy as stage three of five is nearing completion.

Directors are involved in various local groups such as Landcare, Bairnsdale Classic Car Club and support local sporting clubs.

Andrea said providing a beautiful, secured space for residents to enjoy is satisfying.

“Actively contributing to the local economy in a regional area is very important to us. Many people are actively employed by the work we do at Broadlands View. We build affordable beautiful brand new homes, that our residents own in entirety,” she said.

“There is a current cost of living crisis. Broadlands View offers a secured, very affordable brand new home in a village with an embedded energy network, meaning residents enjoy reduced electrical costs, no council rates, and water is billed as use only.

“Everyone deserves a brand new home in their retirement.”
