Jett Knur again led the Lakes Entrance parkrun field home last Saturday in a personal best time of 18 minutes and 20 seconds.
With the weather near perfect, Knur shaved 35 seconds off his previous best as he was joined on the five kilometre course by 108 fitness enthusiasts.
The field swelled by the combination of outstanding weather and the influx of people to the town for the school holidays.
Knur crossed the line ahead of Adam Evans (18.37) and Tully Davis (18.44).
Davis was one of 46 competitors who took to the course for the first time, while there were nine personal bests.
The first woman across the line was Mia Calleja (22.23).
Representatives of 10 different clubs took part, including Sale and District runners, Southern Peninsula Sports Club, Australia Post Group, Nobby’s Nutcases, Traralgon Harriers, Lalor Running Club, WJR Latrobe, Casey Fields Masters Athletics, Diamond Creek runners and Lakes and District runners.
The weekly parkrun commences at 8am, every Saturday from the rotunda on the foreshore.
