At the Metung Yacht Club, the Commodore’s Cup traditionally marks the beginning of Metung Yacht Club’s sailing season. The club welcomes all sailing boats, motor boats, walkers, cyclists and motorists to a BYO picnic or barbecue lunch, this Saturday, October 5, at the Johnsonville Jetty, Punt Road, Johnsonville. A warning signal will sound at the club at 10.55am, with the gathering at the Johnsonville Jetty beginning at noon.
Metung Transfer Station will be closed for remedial maintenance works from October 7-18, reopening on Saturday, October 19 at 8am. The closest alternative locations are Lakes Entrance Transfer Station or Bairnsdale Landfill.

The Nowa Nowa twilight market will be held on Saturday, October 5 from 2-6pm at the Nowa Nowa Recreation Reserve.
SALT CREEK
A campdraft clinic will be held on November 2-3 at the Salt Creek Grounds. Instructors will include David White, Janie Shelley and Lance Anderson.
