Paris Olympian Paige Barr returned to where it all began last week, Gippsland Grammar School in Sale.
Barr who was a key component of the Australian rowing eight that finished fourth in Paris, was happy to return to her roots to share her story and hopefully inspire the next generation of Australian rowing stars.
The world cup gold medalist caught up with her first coach, Nick Bartlett, thanking him for giving her a go and shaping her as a world class athlete.
Barr outlined her plans for the future, which include winning gold at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
She also left the students, who listened intently to her every word, a mantra to follow.
“Enjoy it, have fun and keep trying your best, that’s all you can ask, the rest will take care of itself,” Barr said.
Barr is already back in the boat and training hard for the Australian domestic season.
