For many in the community, Lakes Entrance Library provides a welcoming, warm and inclusive environment.
Andrew Gowland is a valued member of Friends of the Library Lakes Entrance (FOLLE)with more than nine years of dedicated time for meeting and recently rallied to keep local libraries open five days a week.
A disabled pensioner, he’s a regular visitor to the library.
Not having the particular software available on his home computer, he is able to use the technology available at the library with assistance from the staff to search for his family tree.
In the winter months being in a warm environment is a special bonus, as time spent there reduces his home energy bills.
His time is also well spent completing the large jigsaw puzzles which have become a popular addition to the library.
When not at the library Andrew was volunteering with the Dungeons and Dragons program at the Bairnsdale Hub on Saturday afternoons and evenings.
Andrew continues to be a valuable member of FOLLE.
