Boisdale Briagolong’s “B” grade side capped off an unbeaten season last Saturday, taking down Lakes Entrance by eight goals in the grand final.
The victory is also Boisdale’s second in a row after defeating Stratford in the grand final last year.
It was Boisdale’s game from the start, scoring first and establishing a four-goal lead by quarter time.
Lakes Entrance’s Lucy Carroll stepped onto the court for the second time after taking on Wy Yung in the under 17s clash, working hard in goal defence.
The Bombers’ strong teamwork didn’t slow down as the goals kept coming, making life hard for Lakes Entrance.
Emma Yates, also coming up from Lakes Entrance’s under 17s side, tried to stem the bleeding as goal shooter, but it was too little too late as Boisdale extended its lead to eight by three quarter time.
The margin proved to be too difficult to overcome for Lakes Entrance, with the Bombers left flying high.
Boisdale Briagolong’s Hannah Pratt was named best-on-court.
