Lakes Entrance Golf Club was well represented at the Marj Smith Memorial Salver at the Newry Golf Club last Friday.
The event saw 60 ladies from 12 clubs brave the cold and wet conditions which presented early in the day, but thankfully it cleared into a lovely day for golf.
The course was heavy but in amazing condition given recent rains, a credit to the ground staff led by Graeme Smith.
Lakes Entrance was right in the running for the Salver, unfortunately going down on countback to Maffra, both finishing with a score 89.
There was better luck in the individual awards with Di Dickson successful in “B” grade with 35 points.
The “A” grade event was taken out by Chrissy Fisher with 36 stableford points, while the “C” winner was Vicki McNaughton with 31 points.
