The East Gippsland Junior Football Association season will culminate this Sunday at the Bairnsdale City Oval with Wy Yung and Lindenow set to clash in both the under 13 and 15 grand finals.
The Tigers will go in as warm favourites in the under 13 fixture, which commences at 12.30pm, having not been threatened throughout the season.
They have played their opponent three times for the season, easily accounting for the Cats by 24 (round six), 21 (round 13) and 18 points (qualifying final).
It will take a major turn around in form to see the Cats get the job done with Wy Yung a well-drilled outfit.
The Tigers are hoping to emulate their unbeaten season of 2023.
The under 15s match will start at 2.30pm with Wy Yung going in with a similar dominant record, although the Cats can take some solace from the fact that Lakes Entrance was able to knock the Tigers off in the final round and they beat the Seagulls last Sunday.
The two sides have met twice in the home and away season with the Tigers winners by 29 in round six and 50 in round 13.
Lindenow will be further buoyed by the fact the Tigers went into last year’s grand final as a warm favourite and were upset by Orbost Snowy Rovers.
