THUMBS UP: To the young gentleman who not only assisted my wife when she had a fall crossing the highway last Wednesday, but also came around to the physio therapist where I was to tell me she had fallen. Thank you, my wife is now okay.
THUMBS DOWN: To the lack of anything fun in Bairnsdale. We have no outdoor pool, no decent playgrounds and no splash park. What a boring town we have!
THUMBS DOWN: To the tourists that come to Paynesville and torment the nesting water birds by the foreshore. If that is your idea of entertainment please find somewhere else to holiday.
THUMBS DOWN: To the clowns loudly playing music from a boombox at Apex Park in Lakes Entrance last Sunday. The music was terrible and it was so loud you could barely hold a conversation from more than 20m away from the speaker. The people with the speaker weren’t event speaking to each other. They also had the speaker sitting in the middle of a busy footpath. What were you thinking? Show some respect.
THUMBS UP: To those charming older women, many years ago, who “got me young and trained me up right”. Or so says my happy wife. Much better than my equally clueless mates of the time. And infinitely better than those women-hating goons making fortunes by flooding the internet with intimate relationship misinformation.
THUMBS DOWN: To the local clinic for stopping the prescription request system, saying you have to see a GP when there are no appointments available for about three weeks. Not good.
