Gippsland Bowls Region midweek pennant will start next Tuesday, with Lakes Entrance fielding four sides across the regional competition.
The seaside club will be represented in the division one competition, will field two sides in the east conference division two competition and will enter a team in the division three east conference.
In division one, Lakes Entrance will be hoping to return to premiership glory after being knocked off by Bairnsdale in last year’s decider, denying the club a record fifth consecutive midweek premiership.
The loss was softened somewhat when Lakes Entrance took out the weekend premier league grand final over Bairnsdale, but bowlers will be keen to regain their place as the kings and queens of midweek pennant.
Opening round matches: Division one: Lindenow v Lakes Entrance; Division two: Lakes Entrance 2 v Paynesville; Lakes Entrance 3 v Bairnsdale Golf; Division three: Lakes Entrance 4 v Paynesville.
