The fourth annual LE Rocktober festival is set to take over Lakes Entrance from October 9 to 11, 2026. (PS)

Lakes Entrance is gearing up for a bumper weekend of classic tunes, retro fashion, and community spirit when the fourth annual LE Rocktober festival takes over the coastal town from October 9 to 11, 2026.

Centred at the Lakes Entrance Mechanics Hall on Mechanics Street, the three-day festival weekend promises a full lineup of nostalgia, featuring live music from four rock ‘n’ roll bands alongside Gippsland’s own resident DJ.

The weekend kicks off with ticketed evening dances on both Friday and Saturday nights at the Mechanics Hall.

Daytime activities across the weekend will feature live music, open-air dancing, a show-and-shine display, and dedicated dance workshops hosted at the hall on Saturday.

Visitors will also have the chance to browse rock ‘n’ roll clothing stalls throughout the event, while Mandy’s Hair & Beauty will be on site offering private bookings for classic period styling.

Organisers have confirmed that proceeds from the 2026 festival weekend will be donated directly to Melon’s Cottage, a local respite facility providing support for families with children undergoing treatment for childhood cancers.

While evening dance tickets for the popular event have already sold out on TryBooking, daytime festivities and community activities will be open across the weekend for locals and visitors alike.
