Sailors Grave Brewing is set to bring a taste of Bavaria to the coast this month when it hosts its inaugural Oktoberfest at Dunetown on Saturday, September 19.

Located at 85 Marlo Plains Road in Marlo, the popular craft brewery will transform its site into a German-inspired festival precinct featuring specialty beers, live music, local food, and traditional Bavarian games to kick off the spring school holidays.

Headlining the entertainment lineup is musical act The Beez, who will provide the soundtrack for an action-packed day of festivities.

Attendees will also have the chance to test their strength and endurance in traditional Oktoberfest contests, including a stein-holding competition and a keg-throwing event.

Organisers are encouraging attendees of all ages to embrace the spirit of the day by dressing up in traditional German attire, such as lederhosen and dirndls.

Tickets for the family-friendly event are $40 each, which includes entry, an official 500ml Sailors Grave Oktoberfest stein to keep, and the first pour of beer.

Event facilities include ample car and coach parking, full bar services, disabled access, and parent rooms to cater for families attending the day-long event.

Tickets and further details are available online via the official Sailors Grave Brewing channels or through the Visit Victoria website.
