Metung Primary School came alive with colour, imagination and community spirit as students and staff celebrated annual Book Week festivities under bright coastal skies recently.
A large crowd of parents, grandparents and special friends gathered at the school grounds to join in the celebrations, taking advantage of spectacular Metung weather to cheer on the young students.
There was an array of bright, inventive and quirky outfits inspired by their favourite literary characters. From classic storybook heroes and sporty figures to clever handmade creations, the effort and creativity on display was praised.
School staff also joined in the fun, dressing up alongside the students to help bring the magic of reading to life.
