It has been an incredible inaugural year for Lakes Entrance Little Athletics.
From watching young athletes build confidence, make new friends, and achieve personal bests, to seeing the local community come together every week, organisers couldn’t be prouder of how far the club has come in its very first season.
The club is thankful for the massive support received for its recent Colour Run — a fantastic day full of colour, laughter and community spirit. Organisers would also like to express their gratitude to Lakes Entrance Secondary College for providing the use of its facilities.
The inaugural season simply would not have been possible without the generous support of the club’s sponsors. Through sponsorship and donations from local businesses and organisations, the club was able to upgrade its line-marking machine and purchase line-marking paint and hurdles for the
2026/27 season.
Looking ahead to the upcoming season, the club can’t wait to welcome back returning athletes and greet new faces. To stay up to date on registration details, season start dates, and weekly announcements, follow the club’s Facebook page or reach out directly via email at lakesentrance@lavic.com.au.
The club would also like to send a shoutout to ultramarathon runner Chris Dixon from Stratford, who was a guest at the recent
Colour Run.
From October 10 to 16, Dixon will attempt to break the official world record for the longest distance run on a treadmill in seven days. He is aiming to pass 912 kilometres to raise funds and awareness for Helping Hands, an organisation that creates 3D-printed prosthetic hands.
