Gippsland residents have six weeks remaining to submit their entries for Federal Member for Gippsland Darren Chester’s 2027 #lovegippsland calendar competition.
Now in its 15th year, the popular photography contest invites locals to capture and share high-resolution images showcasing what makes the region unique.
This year’s theme, “My Gippsland,” encourages photographers of all skill levels to highlight the area’s natural landscapes, local character and regional diversity.
“I love Gippsland and this calendar showcases the very best our region has to offer,” Mr Chester said.
“Whether it’s our stunning coastline, rivers, lakes, mountains, rolling farmland, historic buildings, or wildlife that make Gippsland such a special place, I encourage everyone to get involved.
“Each year I am amazed by both the quality and quantity of entries, and I’m already seeing another incredible collection of photographs from right across Gippsland.”
A panel will select 13 winning photographs for the 2027 calendar, including one cover image. More than 30,000 free copies will be distributed across local homes, businesses and community organisations at the end of the year.
The photographers behind the top three entries will each receive a gift hamper featuring local Gippsland produce and goods.
Entries close at 5pm on Friday, September 25, 2026, with a limit of two submissions per person.
Photographs must be landscape-oriented, submitted with a file size between 4MB and 10MB, and available at a minimum resolution of 300 DPI for print production. Each entry must include the photographer’s name, hometown, contact details, photo location and a brief caption.
Competition rules and online submission forms are available on Mr Chester’s website.
