Last Saturday’s Lakes Entrance parkrun attracted an enthusiastic field of 50 participants, who ran, jogged and walked the picturesque five-kilometre course along the esplanade.
Some in the field were chasing fitness goals, while others simply enjoyed the camaraderie and fun the event offers.
The field was led home by Adam Evans in a time of 18 minutes and 26 seconds, while the first female home was Indiarna Ellis in 21 minutes and 53 seconds.
The event welcomed 11 first-time participants, and four participants
recorded personal best performances. Those achieving new benchmarks included Charli Richardson (27.29), Karoline Fall (30.37), Nikhil Jeetah (35.24), and Reuben DSilva (35.25).
Runners represented two different clubs: Lakes and District Runners, and Southern Peninsula Sports Club.
Lakes Entrance parkrun departs from the rotunda at 8am every Saturday and welcomes participants of all abilities.
