Last Saturday’s Lakes Entrance parkrun attracted an enthusiastic field of 44 participants, who ran, jogged and walked the picturesque five-kilometre course along the esplanade.
Some in the field were chasing fitness goals, while others simply enjoyed the camaraderie and fun the event offers.
The field was led home by Craig Savory in a personal best time of 22 minutes and 30 seconds, with the first female home Joanna Peterson (24.15)
The event welcomed nine first time participants and six other personal best times were achieved.
Those achieving new benchmarks included Tylor Benson (26.33), Charli Richardson (28.37), Isla Campbell (29.26), Jade Frost (32.31), Karoline Fall (32.58) and Zara Frost (33.49).
Runners represented three different clubs: Lakes and District Runners, Southern Peninsula Sports Club and Victorian Road Runners.
Lakes Entrance parkrun departs from the rotunda at 8am every Saturday and welcomes participants of all abilities.
