Father’s Day is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the dads, grandads and father figures who make a difference in our lives – and this year, the Lakes Entrance community is being invited to share that kindness with local dads who may need a little extra cheer.
The Lakes Entrance Neighbourhood House (LENH) is collecting gifts, sweets and treats to put together some special Father’s Day surprises for local dads in the community.
Donations can be as simple as a block of chocolate, a packet of biscuits, some lollies or another favourite treat.
It doesn’t have to be big – every donation, no matter how small, can help put a smile on someone’s face.
You can drop your donations off at East Gippsland Real Estate, NAB branch or Lakes Entrance Neighbourhood House.
The collection will run until Monday, August 31, giving everyone plenty of time to pick up an extra treat while doing their shopping.
Community kindness is often found in the smallest gestures, and a simple donation can help make Father’s Day feel a little more special for someone who might otherwise go without.
LENH is encouraging residents to donate to spread some Father’s Day joy throughout the local community.
