Adam Evans returned to the head of affairs last Saturday, leading home a field of 46 participants in the latest edition of the Lakes Entrance parkrun.
Evans navigated the scenic five-kilometre esplanade course in a sharp 18.38. The consistent Mia Calleja was the first female finisher, crossing the line in 21.37.
Participants turned out for fitness, fun and camaraderie, with the event welcoming three first-timers while three runners recorded new personal bests. Setting new personal benchmarks were James Murphy (22.00), Matt Waller (26.13), and Jennifer Allan (27.46).
Five different clubs were represented on the morning, including Lakes and District Runners, Baw Baw Runners, Southern Peninsula Sporting Club, Traralgon Harriers and Raring2Run.
Lakes Entrance parkrun departs from the rotunda at 8am every Saturday, welcoming participants of all ages and abilities.
The weekly event continues to attract both locals and visitors, offering a social and inclusive space to stay active and connected.
