Under eights wraps up

The Lakes Entrance Amateur Basketball Association recently wrapped up a successful under eight season, celebrating significant skill development and player enjoyment across the junior competition.

Organisers noted that the progress made by every participant throughout the season was inspiring to watch, with players embracing the sport while building teamwork and confidence on the court.

The young athletes were guided by coaches Lisa Pompei, Lauren Clarke, James Pitt, Callum Lee and Danielle Busch, whose energy and enthusiasm set a positive tone for the junior program.

Association leaders extended their gratitude to parents and caregivers for their weekly commitment and ongoing support, noting that volunteer assistance remains vital to the program’s success.

A number of the under eight players will now transition into the under 10 competition next season.

Details regarding registration for the upcoming basketball season will be posted on the association’s official channels in the coming weeks.

Team Green was the responsibility of Callum Lee, who managed enthusiastic youngsters Jett Long, Spencer Ryland, Navy Lee, Monica Orr, Jakaine Wanagneen and Mac Dickson. (PS)

The Grey side was coached by Lauren Clarke, with roster made up of Lyla Ingram, Logan Poynton, Owen Clarke, Chase Neilson, Emmit Lowcock and Charlotte Kenny. (PS)

Danielle Busch coached the Purple team, working well with team members Maverick Dawes, Sophia Wilson, Hudson Busch, Riley Downing, Ollie Williams and Sol Thomas. (PS)

The Red side was coached by Lisa Pompei and contained players, Albie Hunter, Alek Kyriakou, Willow Hall, Shaivyaa Sahey, Xavier Pompei and Asher Nairn. (PS)
