East Gippsland Taekwondo is inviting prospective students of all ages to step onto the mat this month with the launch of free “Come and Try” martial arts sessions across Bairnsdale and Lakes Entrance.
Hosted by Kim’s Taekwondo and Hapkido, the obligation-free initiative offers children, teenagers and adults an entry point into one of the world’s most popular martial arts.
Sessions are structured to support all fitness and skill levels, allowing participants to learn at their own pace in a friendly environment. Beyond core self-defence skills, the classes focus on improving functional fitness, flexibility, and coordination while instilling core values of discipline, respect, and personal confidence.
Training takes place weekly, with Bairnsdale classes running on Mondays and Wednesdays, and Lakes Entrance sessions held on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
No specialised equipment or uniform is required to attend the trial classes; interested participants need only wear comfortable training clothes.
