Last Saturday’s Lakes Entrance parkrun attracted an enthusiastic field of 44 participants, who ran, jogged and walked the picturesque five-kilometre course along the esplanade.
Some in the field were chasing fitness goals, while others simply enjoyed the camaraderie and fun the event offers.
The field was led home by Adam Evans in a time of 18 minutes and 36 seconds, while the first female home was Indiarna Ellis (19.10), who achieved a new personal best.
The event welcomed 12 first-time participants and recorded three other personal best performances.
Those achieving new benchmarks included Bec Voss (26.18), Sunisa Srikumpliw (28.32) and Tyler Benson (28.42).
Runners represented three different clubs: Lakes and District Runners, Southern Peninsula Sports Club and Knox Triathlon Club.
Lakes Entrance parkrun departs from the rotunda at 8am every Saturday and welcomes participants of all abilities.
