Young anglers across the district will have the opportunity to hone their angling skills when a dedicated kids’ fishing event takes place at the Lakes Entrance Basketball Hall on Saturday, August 22.
Running from 1pm to 3pm, the interactive workshop will teach children practical fundamentals including how to tie hooks and sinkers, rig lures and present bait effectively.
The afternoon will also feature information booths, casting practice sessions, free gift bags, and a range of hands-on activities designed for beginners and
keen young fishers alike.
Organisers remind parents and guardians that all children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the event.
