East Gippsland Shire Council is calling on local business owners, operators and industry leaders to share their experiences and insights to help guide the municipality’s economic strategy and advocacy priorities.
The callout comes as council launches its Business Insights Survey, which is being distributed via email to local enterprises, partner networks and regional business databases.
The feedback gathered will assist council in assessing current trading conditions, identifying growth opportunities and highlighting systemic barriers facing local commerce across the region.
East Gippsland Shire mayor Cr Jodie Ashworth urged local operators to participate, emphasising that direct industry feedback is critical for effective civic planning and government advocacy.
“Our businesses are the backbone of East Gippsland’s economy, creating local jobs, supporting our communities and driving investment across the region,” Cr Ashworth said.
“Every survey response will help us better understand the challenges and opportunities facing businesses across East Gippsland, strengthen our advocacy and ensure our future economic development priorities reflect the needs of our business community.”
The survey results will directly inform council’s future economic development policy, targeted business support initiatives, and state and federal funding submissions.
Local operators who have not received a survey invitation, or those seeking further information, are encouraged to contact Council’s Economic Development team.
