Tambo Upper Trail Riding Club recently enjoyed a fantastic turnout for its Come ‘n’ Try Ride hosted in Sarsfield.
Six enthusiastic participants took part in a two-hour trail ride, giving both riders and their horses a valuable opportunity to gain experience navigating tracks in a group environment.
After a slightly spirited start to the morning, all participants settled in for a successful and enjoyable trek through the bush.
The only unexpected twist came courtesy of Amy’s horse, who provided plenty of entertainment for the group after deciding a patch of soft sand was the ideal spot for a quick lie-down and rest.
Following the morning ride, the club’s support crew ensured everyone was well catered for at lunchtime, serving up sausages and onions in bread to riders and a couple of supportive husbands before the afternoon group mounted up for their session.
The day was organised by Pauline Garry, with valuable assistance from Debbie Carstairs and Jenny Doran, alongside ongoing support throughout the day from Susan Dare, Tony Burgess and Di Nicholls.
