It was a huge day at the Sale Oval last Saturday, with Sale Football Netball League legends, Chris Laverty and Shane Fyfe racking up 750 games of open aged football for the club.
Laverty (400) and Fyfe (350), both senior premiership heroes, played in the reserves against Warragul, joined for the game by other former stars Kane Martin and Jack Lipman.
Laverty and Fyfe have given so much to the club over the years, with their leadership and dedication on the field having inspired teammates for generations, while off the field, they’ve been outstanding clubmen who represent everything the Magpies club stands for.
Their impact reaches far beyond game day.
