The local performing arts scene is gearing up for a busy schedule, with both The Wedge Performing Arts Centre in Sale and The Forge Theatre in Bairnsdale announcing their upcoming shows.
Beginning tonight, the two regional venues will host a diverse array of entertainment, including musical tributes, contemporary theatre, live jazz and stand-up comedy.

– Friday, July 24, 2026 (8pm): You Got It! –
A Salute to Roy Orbison – A musical tribute showcasing the classic, distinct hits of Roy Orbison.
– Saturday, July 25, 2026 (8pm): Noir – A live, intimate jazz performance featuring the acclaimed collaborations of pianist Paul Grabowsky and vocalist Michelle Nicolle.
– Tuesday, July 28, 2026 (7.30 pm): Grimm – A bold, contemporary stage adaptation of the classic Brothers Grimm fairytales, produced by the Shake & Stir Theatre Co.
– Friday, July 31, 2026 (8pm): Lawrence Mooney: Full Moon Party – A character-driven comedy show featuring various personas popularised on The Front Bar.
– Wednesday, August 5, 2026 (7.30pm): Number 24 – A special film screening presented in partnership with the Sale Film Society.
The Forge Theatre, Bairnsdale
– Saturday, July 25, 2026 (7.30pm): The Australian Eagles Show – A 50th-anniversary concert celebrating the iconic Hotel California album, performed live by one of the country’s leading tribute acts.
– Saturday, August 1, 2026 (8pm): Lawrence Mooney: Full Moon Party – The veteran Australian comedian brings his multi-character stand-up show to the Bairnsdale stage.
