The Metung Bloodhounds hosted a highly successful Op Shop Ball last Saturday as part of the East Gippsland Winter Festival.
Attendees embraced the theme by sourcing their outfits from local op shops, bringing a colourful and unique edge to the evening.
The Swan Reach Hotel hosted the festivities, with patrons praising the fabulous outfits, quality food and high crowd engagement. Bancroft Bay Distillery got the party started by providing guests with a complimentary Blue Moon Gin Cocktail upon arrival.
Once local band Xtra Cover struck its first chord, the dance floor filled instantly and remained packed for the rest of the night.
The Bloodhounds also ran a raffle during the event, which was generously supported by the community and featured an array of major prizes.
“A massive thanks to all our supporters, we couldn’t have done it without you,” the Bloodhounds committee said.
Funds raised throughout the evening were donated to Wellways Bairnsdale. Representatives from the organisation attended the ball and expressed their gratitude for Metung Bloodhounds Inc.’s continued support of mental health awareness and suicide prevention initiatives across East Gippsland.
