Young locals are being invited to put down their screens and pick up a paddle this month, with the Lakes Entrance Tennis Club set to host a dedicated “Come and Try Pickleball” event for primary school-aged children.
Taking place on Sunday from 11am to 1pm, the free session offers the perfect opportunity for local kids to experience firsthand what has quickly become one of the fastest-growing sports in the country. Pickleball combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong, making it incredibly accessible, fast-paced, and easy for beginners to pick up.
Club organisers encourage families to head down to the local courts to see what all the fuss is about, with all equipment provided on the day.
