For the eighth time this year, Adam Evans led the field home at the Lakes Entrance parkrun in what were idyllic conditions for this time of year.
There was a touch of cold in the air, but no sign of rain, as Evans completed the scenic five-kilometre course along the picturesque esplanade in a swift 18 minutes and 12 seconds.
The weekly event attracted 59 enthusiasts eager for a run, jog, or walk, with some chasing fitness goals and others simply enjoying the community camaraderie on offer. The event welcomed 14 first-time participants, while eight attendees recorded personal best (PB) times.
Heading the list of personal milestones was the first female finisher, Sophie Wilson, who crossed the line in a personal best time of 23.44. Other participants to reach new benchmarks included Peter Stadler (25.28), Timothy Patrick (27.27), Brendan Fiedler (28.45), Jenny Wagstaff (31.41), Karin Brown (40.37), Bev White (44.39) and Anne Williams (45.39).
