The Lakes Entrance Girl Guides celebrated a special milestone on Monday, May 25, with a promise ceremony for new Guide, Allie Hayes.
The ceremony marked Allie’s commitment to Girl Guiding and was a proud moment shared with fellow Guides, leaders and families.
In recent weeks, the girls have been busy completing activities for their Arts Badge.
One of their final projects was decorating calico bags to create personalised Guide bags for carrying their activity books and equipment.
The Guides also made bath salts as thoughtful Mother’s Day gifts and showed off their creativity by writing, acting, and producing plays about guiding, including making their own props and costumes.
Girl Guiding gives young girls the opportunity to build confidence, friendships and valuable life skills in a fun and supportive environment.
Through hands-on activities, teamwork and community involvement, girls are encouraged to challenge themselves, develop leadership skills, and express their creativity.
Lakes Entrance Girl Guides welcomes new members and is also always looking for volunteer leaders to help support and inspire local girls.
Anyone interested in joining Girl Guides or becoming a leader is encouraged to get involved and discover the many benefits Guiding can offer.
