Leigh Peterson led home last Saturday’s edition of the Lakes Entrance parkrun in a personal best time.

It was Peterson’s seventh overall parkrun and third at Lakes Entrance,completing the course in 17 minutes and one second.

For the second consecutive week, Lisa McGregor (23.55) was the first female home in another personal best time.

The weekly sojourn, staged on alternative course, attracted 66 participants, with nine first-timers to parkrunning and 12 first timers to the Lakes event.

Another seven runners also achieved new personal bests included Charlie Graham (20.57), Ashton Linford (21.41), Jarryd Clifford (23.33), James Murphy (23.41), Nicole Egan (26.01), Daniel Forssman (34.42), and Karin Brown (41.42)

Participants from the Lakes and District Runners and Southern Peninsula Sporting Club were seen out on course.

Lakes Entrance parkrun departs from the rotunda at 8am every Saturday, welcoming participants of all ages and abilities.

The weekly event continues to attract both locals and visitors, offering a social and inclusive way to stay active and connected.

Last weeks Lakes Entrance parkrun was supervised by dedicated volunteers Alison Doucette, Ashly Knur, David Salisbury, Robyn McLennan, Rachel Salisbury, Bob Hallam, Lauren Hemingway, Kaye Hallam, Alexandra Hodder, Alan Drayton and Suzanne Spicer. (PS)
