The Lakes Entrance Volunteer Craft Group had a successful season opening their pop-up shop over the warmer months and have been busy donating the proceeds to local organisations.
This year’s monetary donations went to Lakes Entrance Family History Resource Centre, LE Ambulance Auxiliary, LE Neighbourhood House, LE Men’s Shed, LE Little Athletics Club and the new Gippsland Lakes Complete Health Drop In Centre.
The shop has been very popular with both the local community and visitors, but after 16 years the group has decided the 2025/26 season was their last.
Rosemary Kavadis pointed out that the group will still meet up as a social group to support each other with coffee catch ups, outings and meals.
“Each and every member of the Volunteer Group would like to thank those who have generously supported the shop and those who contributed in any way over the 16 years,” Rosemary said.
Rosemary Kavadis presented a donation to the Lakes Entrance Ambulance Auxiliary members Jess Short, Avis Salisbury, Eleanor Steel, Neville Runge, Lakes Entrance Paramedic Tom Morgan and Phil Salisbury.
The Lakes Entrance Ladies Volunteer Craft Group donated $3000 to Family History Resource Centre Lakes Entrance. The history group thanked them for their financial assistance and assured them it will be put to good use. Pictured are Di Barelli, Janis Simonds, Kaye Schreuders and Pauline Sampson.
