THUMBS DOWN: Appalling roadside clearing and veg management at Lake Bunga carpark areas. Unnecessary, ugly and poor workmanship to boot. Negative outcomes for visual amenity, as well as habitat for native birds.
THUMBS DOWN: To the police car that cut me off doing a right hand turn in front of me at Wood and Main Streets when I was going straight ahead and for also pulling out of a parallel park in Main Street without using indicators. Set the example.
THUMBS DOWN: Our footpaths are in need of repairs.
THUMBS UP: To the organisers of the centenary celebration at the Cann Valley Bush Nursing Centre. It was a great day of celebrating the centre’s long history.
THUMBS DOWN: To those who vandalised the Marlo Primary School bus stop. Our community assets deserve more respect.
THUMBS UP: To all the National Volunteer Week participants across Gippsland East. From the CFA and SES crews to those running local hospital kiosks and sports clubs, you’re keeping our regional towns connected and resilient.
